Mountains of Korea

This is a list of famous mountains in Korea selected and published by the Korea Forest Service in October 2002 to commemorate the World Mountain Year 2002.

With the increase of the mountaineering population, the number of hikers challenging to climb the 100 most famous mountains has increased, especially after COVID-19.
This photo was taken while traveling to complete the top 100 mountains.
You can’t help but be mesmerized by the magnificent view of the mist-filled mountains and endless mountain shadows. Korean mountain scenery has a beauty that foreign mountains can never match.

2002년 ‘세계 산의 해’를 기념하여 2002년 10월 산림청에서 선정 및 공표한 대한민국의 명산 목록이 시초다.

등산 인구의 증가로 100대 명산 완등에 도전하는 등산객들이 많아졌다. 특히 코로나19 이후로 폭발적으로 증가했다.
100대명산 완등을 목적으로 다니면서 촬영한 사진이다.
운무 가득한 산과 끝없이 펼쳐지는 산그리메의 웅장한 모습에 넋을 잃기 마련이다. 한국의 산 풍경은 결코 외국산이 따라 올 수 없는 아름다움이 있다.

나의 등정은 계속 이어진다.
