A Thousand Cameras

Fujifilm Korea Global Photography Network Exhibition, Workshop

A Thousand Cameras is a unique exhibition that connects the cultures of Korea and Thailand through the universal language of photography. As part of Fujifilm Korea’s efforts to establish a global photography network, this exhibition, in collaboration with PhapthaySajin, showcases over 90 works that depict the diverse facets of Seoul and the distinctive cultural characteristics of both nations.

Nineteen artists affiliated with A Thousand Cameras, A Thousand Dream, Dream Flower Factory, and PhapthaySajin have captured the world through their unique perspectives, transforming their observations into compelling visual narratives. The A Thousand Cameras and A Thousand Dream projects, which document and reflect upon Korea’s contemporary times, invite viewers to discover new meanings within familiar landscapes. Artists from Dream Flower Factory present original works that delve into personal themes, while those from PhapthaySajin showcase the diverse moments of life against the backdrop of Korea and Thailand.

This exhibition is being held at Chiang Mai House of Photography, a hub for photography in Chiang Mai. Professor Kanta Poonpipat, the director of the House of Photography, has wholeheartedly supported this exhibition, deeply resonating with its significance and content. We hope that this exhibition will serve as a catalyst for Korean and Thai photographers to connect, exchange ideas, and grow together.

In a special initiative, the outcomes of a concurrent photography workshop will be exhibited at nursing homes and other healing spaces in Seoul, in collaboration with the Dasom Foundation. This will allow the warm and comforting essence of photography to be shared with those in need. Fujifilm Korea aims to expand its global network through photography and contribute to the greater good by collaborating with photographers on meaningful projects.

We sincerely hope that this exhibition offers a special experience to all residents of Chiang Mai and photography enthusiasts.

Words of Gratitude

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Professor Kanta Poonpipat, PhapthaySajin, and leader photographer Mr. Namhun Sung for their invaluable support in making this exhibition a reality. We also express our sincere appreciation to all those who have participated in fostering cultural exchange between Korea and Thailand through photography.
