For over half a century, the East Coast of Korea has been my home. As a child, I spent countless hours exploring the pristine beaches, collecting seashells, and building sandcastles with my family. The coastline was my playground, a place of endless wonder and joy. Today, I find myself documenting the rapid transformation of this once-familiar landscape. While development has brought economic growth, it has also resulted in the erosion of our coastal ecosystems. Through my lens, I aim to spark a conversation about the delicate balance between progress and preservation. My photographs are a visual testament to the beauty and fragility of our coastlines, and a call to protect the natural world for future generations.
