Aesthetics of flow

The world through the viewfinder was a different world and a different way of shooting than the ‘minimalist’ long exposures I had been shooting.

The unfamiliar genre of ‘night long exposure’, my gestures that touched the limits of my physical strength, and the swings that matched the weight of the old camera gave me a glimpse into the lives of the people who lived there.

Wrecked ship on the tidal flats….

The weight of time also draws me into the frame, and the frame in the photo was the process of making the traces of time into a work.

‘뷰파인더속’으로 바라보는 세상은 동안 촬영하여온 ‘미니멀리즘’ 장노출과는 다른 세계에서
다른 방식으로 촬영하는 작업환경이었다.
생소한 ‘야간 장노출’이라는 장르에 체력의 한계에 와닿는 나의 몸짓, 오래된 카메라 무게와
어울리는 그네들이 살았던 사람들의 삶을 엿볼 수 있는 공간이다.
갯벌에 박힌 폐선….
시간의 무게감 프레임으로 끌어들이기도 하며, 사진 속 프레임은 세월의 흔적을 작품으로
만드는 그 과정이었다.
