Manit Sriwanichpoom
마닛 시와닛품 (1961년 방콕출생) 태국의 현대 사진예술을 개척하고 오랜 기간동안 창작을 이어온 사진작가이다. 그의 형형색색의 작품들은 사회, 정치 그리고 종교를 비판 또는 비꼬았다. 또한 그는 The First Fukuoka Asian Art Triennale 1999, Venice Biennale 2003, Photo Espana 2004, 6th Gwangju Biennale 2006 그리고 The 6th Asia Pacific Triennial 2009 (호주) 등 많은 세계적인 전시와 예술 축제에 참여하였다. 그의 작품들은 Maison Europeenne de la Photographie (프랑스), Deutsche Bank (독일), Queensland Art Gallery (호주), National Gallery of Australia, Singapore Art Museum 그리고 Koc Foundation (터키) 등 세계 박물관 곳곳에서 만날 수 있다. 이 외에도 그는 프랑스 문화소통부로부터 훈장 (the Chevalier de L'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres)을 받은 바 있으며 그는 다 수의 태국 현지 대학교에서 사진예술을 가르치는 특별교수이자 해외 대학교 초청교수이기도 하다.
มานิต ศรีวานิชภูมิ (กำเนิดกรุงเทพ 2504) ศิลปินภาพถ่ายผู้สร้างสรรค์และบุกเบิกวงการภาพถ่ายร่วมสมัยของไทยมาอย่างยาวนาน ผลงานอันเต็มไปด้วยสีสันของเขามีเนื้อหาเสียดสีวิพากษ์วิจารณ์สังคม การเมือง และศาสนา ทั้งเคยเข้าร่วมแสดงในนิทรรศการและเทศกาลศิลปะนานาชาติสำคัญๆ มาแล้วมากมาย อาทิ The First Fukuoka Asian Art Triennale 1999, Venice Biennale 2003, Photo Espana 2004, 6th Gwangju Biennale 2006 และ The 6th Asia Pacific Triennial 2009 (Australia) เป็นต้น ผลงานของเขายังได้รับการสะสมโดยพิพิธภัณฑ์นานาชาติ อาทิ Maison Europeenne de la Photographie (ฝรั่งเศส), Deutsche Bank (เยอรมัน), Queensland Art Gallery (ออสเตรเลีย), National Gallery of Australia, Singapore Art Museum และ Koc Foundation (ตุรกี) เป็นต้น ในปี 2550 เขาได้รับรางวัล Higashikawa Photo Prize จากญี่ปุ่น และปี 2557 เขายังได้รับเครื่องราชอิสริยาภรณ์ศิลปศาสตร์และอักษรศาสตร์ ชั้นอัศวิน (the Chevalier de L'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres) จากกระทรวงวัฒนธรรมและการสื่อสาร ประเทศฝรั่งเศส นอกจากนี้มานิตยังเป็นอาจารย์พิเศษสอนวิชาภาพถ่ายร่วมสมัยให้กับมหาวิทยาลัยไทยหลายแห่ง และเป็นวิทยากรรับเชิญให้กับสถาบันภาพถ่ายในต่างประเทศอีกด้วย
